InfiniGods Partners with Stardust to Bring Their Multigame Project to Life
Immersive worlds are being built on the blockchain, creating excitement for deeper player experiences. InfiniGods is one of the leaders in this space, building their innovative multi-game studio focused on ancient mythologies and civilizations on Stardust’s API.
All of the InfiniGods games are being built from the ground up around the idea of interoperability, where the Stardust technology plays a crucial role. Their NFTs are designed to be accessible and usable as cross-game assets not just in their games, but in any game. This plays into their game release philosophy: rather than producing one mega-game that will take years to develop and build, InfiniGods will be launching 4 smaller games in Year One. The smaller releases will roll out first, leading to the aforementioned comprehensive mega-game, InfiniRealms.
Their games are centered around the mythological frameworks of ancient civilizations and the initial core mythologies will be the worlds of Greek, Norse, Chinese, and Egyptian myth. There will be an initial mint of characters, the five “Elder Gods”, from the four pantheons of mythology.
The InfiniGods team has over 50 years of combined experience building a variety of games on web and mobile. They have scaled these games to millions of players and generated billions in revenue. The team includes:
Damon Gura, Co-Founder & CEO (Founder/CEO DGN Games)
Owen O’Donoghue, Co-Founder & CRO (Global Director Mobile Apps & Gaming – Facebook)
Matt Jackson, COO (Global PMO – Scientific Games)
Mat Willows, Creative Director (Game Designer – Tilted Mill)
They have a deep understanding of what it takes to create successful gaming environments. For Atif Khan, COO of Stardust, “the most exciting part of partnering with InfiniGods is the experience and strength of their team. As blockchain gaming continues to grow, having individuals like Damon, Owen, and the rest of the InfiniGods team at the forefront of this space will result in one of the best Web3 gaming studios in the world,” says Khan.
In their Whitepaper, InfiniGods states that their, “experience in developing for Web 2.0 has led us to understand that your first 100,000 players are your most valuable, and we want to make sure they are rewarded.”
The InfiniGods characters and tokens are designed to be unique, scarce, and collectible.
When looking for partners to help them incorporate NFTs into their games, InfiniGods wanted to explore the full range of what different blockchains had to offer. Stardust’s blockchain agnostic approach allowed them to begin the building process while continuing to determine the best chain for their gaming ecosystem to be built on.
For Owen O’Donoghue (Co-Founder and CRO of InfiniGods) the decision to partner with Stardust was easy. In addition to “great technology and an amazing team that understands the needs of Game Developers in Web3.” O’Donoghue continues stating that InfiniGods views Stardust “as an integral partner as [they] look to seamlessly onboard more Gamers into Web3 experiences”.
The nature of the partnership between Stardust and InfiniGods transcends just the mere technological elements. “Stardust is powering immersive games and pushing forward possibilities across the gaming space, from Blockchain native games to Web2 games moving to Web3,” says Atif Khan, COO at Stardust. “Partnering with InfiniGods continues to show the power of the Stardust tech ecosystem.”
